The Santa Clara City Library salutes the Read Santa Clara staff, volunteer tutors, and learners who work diligently year round to increase literacy in Santa Clara. Did you know every year Read Santa Clara helps 100 adults who are struggling with basic literacy? And that each year Read Santa Clara’s outreach programs in Santa Clara shelters, with teen moms, and children of migrant workers make sure these children have access to books and that their parents have help with reading to them, to prevent literacy problems in the next generation?
