Over on the SaveOurNorthsideLibrary.com website, we’ve been posting the latest news about our and the community’s efforts to get the Northside Branch library opened.
- Several hundred community members, children, and citizens attended the most recent rally, and heard the latest news about what has been happened and what can and still must be done. Over 700 letters were written and sent to elected and appointed officials, and children wrote the names of their favorite books on index cards that they would like to see in the library once it opens.
- County Supervisor Ken Yeager announced his support for completing and opening the library
- State Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski also stated his intention to continue meeting with officials to work on getting the library opened
- Our internet petition is close to 1,000 signatures — if you haven’t, please go here and add your name to this, which we’ll forward onto all the local and state officials to show the breadth of support from the community for this project
