The Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends is continuing our efforts to get the Northside Branch library issues before the public and resolved by all the appropriate decision-makers. Recently, we’ve
- Set up meetings with Assemblymember Bob Weickowski, Supervisor Ken Yeager, Supervisor Cindy Chavez, and others where we and other public members talked about the importance of libraries and this library in particular
- Coordinated another rally at the Northside Library, on September 4th, where over 200 adults and children came and made their voices heard about the need for this library to open
- Staffed a booth at the Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival, where we gave out books and let many people know what was happening and how they could help
- Just today, both Supervisor Yeager and Assemblymember Weickowski released letters to the Oversight Board and others, asking them to declare the library a public asset and take additional steps to get the project back on track
