A note from our Executive Director

Dear Friends and Supporters,

These are challenging times and all of us at Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends hope that you and your family are, and will stay, well. As you may know on March 13, 2020, we made the decision to pause all book donations, book sales and office volunteer roles at all three library branches. The City also made the decision to close all libraries to the public. These decisions were made as recommended by State, County and Federal agencies to help ensure that our volunteers, staff, and library clients remain safe and healthy and to stem the spread of Covid-19.

During the next few weeks Foundation staff will be working remotely and will be available by email. Rest assured we will continue to work to support the beloved programs of the library and the upcoming events. There are a lot of unknowns at this point, but we do know that at some point the libraries will re-open, the programs will re-start and our events will continue.

Updates will be regularly posted on our web site and other social media sites. Also, the City of Santa Clara and Library web sites will have current information.

Kate, Amee and I hope that you remain safe and healthy during this time. Please follow all recommendations regarding social distancing, self-isolation and when and how to contact your medical professionals.

We look forward to the time when we can be together again to enjoy and celebrate our libraries and the important services they provide to the community.

With thanks and warm regards,

JoAnn Davis
