From our Literacy Program Supervisor:
At a recent Mission College graduation, three children cheered as their mother received her AA degree. Along with them was Gwen, the Read Santa Clara tutor who stood with her every step of the way, as she worked hard for several years to reach her goal. M. had to juggle many responsibilities and credits her tutor for her patience and flexibility in meeting her needs. Her advice to others? “Never give up! There is no excuse for giving up on your learning.”
