Donate this Giving Season!

Thank you for your support of the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends throughout 2025! We are grateful for your book donations, book purchases, and the programs you have participated in, like Summer Adventure and Bricks by the Books. Thank you!

Your support means that the Santa Clara City Library is having a bigger impact, too! In the last year:

  • There were over 750,000 visits to the library.
  • More than 1,800,000 items were checked out.
  • The Santa Clara City Library hosted almost 1,500 classes and events.
  • And 71,000 people attended them.

Thank you for using the library!

Tax dollars enable the very existence of the library. Still, philanthropic support from donors allows the library to take its services further. Our funds help the library explore, change, and innovate to best meet the needs of our community.

The Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends is excited to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2026! You have helped us raise over $4 million for the Santa Clara City Library. We played a crucial role in the opening of the Northside Library. We spearheaded a campaign that raised over $200,000 to upgrade and update Mission Library – the original Santa Clara public library.

We look forward to seeing you at our 25th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, May 16, 2026, or at any of the ongoing events and classes like the NEA Big Read, Comic Con, or The Wellness Shelf.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 by the end of June 2026. As you know, the loss of federal library funds means that we are losing grant monies. This goal will help us make up that difference, and we are already almost 30% of the way there!

All library services are free for everyone. We need the support of the entire community for the library to continue to upgrade and innovate. You can help to ensure that our library continues to excel.  Your individual financial support – at whatever level – helps provide literacy resources and makes the library a warm, welcoming, and safe place.

A donation of:

    • $5,000 could help the library put on Comic Con;
    • $4,000 could support classes and events for children and teens;
    • $1,500 could fund skill-building classes for adults;
    • $1,000 could support film discussions and movie programs for all ages;
    • $500 helps buy prizes for a library card art contest for teens (and we could get fun new library card designs for all!);
    • $100 could provide part of the funds to support Juneteenth and other cultural programs.

Help us keep this momentum going in 2026 and beyond by making a one-time or recurring donation to support our work. Every dollar you give is an investment in the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends and literacy and a love of learning in Silicon Valley!
