California is an amazing place. Our state parks cover all kinds of terrain. This photo is of nearby Castle Rock State Park, but there are so many more. You can go all the way north to Pelican State Beach, or to the very south to see Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. But you have to pay for parking. And how do you know how to stay safe?
The Library and the Foundation worked together on the State Parks Grant, from the California State Library to put together a set of resources to help our library patrons explore our state. The Library has parking passes that you can check out, to reduce the costs. They also used the grant to hold a series of classes to help everyone be more knowledgeable. How do you check for ticks, that kind of thing.
You can support exploring California by donating today to the Foundation and Friends. We want everyone to be able to experience our fabulous state!
