Exciting renovations are underway as the Mission Branch Library library is being restored to be the heart of our community, a gathering place providing essential programs and resources that will enrich the lives of everyone. We have raised over $50,000 towards our $300,000 goal to fully fund this $4.5M renovation. Therefore, we are counting on you to make a gift now to ensure we meet our goal before the library’s opening this summer.
As your new librarian at the Mission Branch Library, I am looking forward to the improvements that will open up a world of opportunities. These include a larger community room, new study areas, and a more flexible interior space. More details are available on the Library’s web page. Also, the library will be open additional evening hours and Saturday for our neighbors of every age to enjoy new offerings like the summer reading program, parenting workshops, family events and technology training.
The Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends is partnering with the City of Santa Clara on this renovation. While the City is covering most of the construction costs, the Foundation has committed $300,000 for furnishings and fixture upgrades, program enhancement, and creating long-term fund for future program and technology support. And your gift of $50, $100, $500 or even $1,000 will truly make a difference!
