Your support for the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends as the Library has reopened has been wonderful! We appreciate everyone who came to the Summer Reading concerts at all three library branches, and the nearly 6,000 fans and families who came to Comic Con. Thank you!
Looking ahead to 2023, the Foundation and Friends anticipates more book sales and expanded in-person library programs.
You are the reason that the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends makes a difference! Your individual financial support – at whatever level – helps provide what the library needs as it expands its hours of operation and offers more in-person classes and events.
Your donations will fund the Library’s literacy programs, support life-long learning, and make possible all of the wonderful classes and events the Santa Clara City Library is known for, from large events like Summer Reading and Comic Con to ongoing programs like ESL Book Club. Your support is crucial for the success of these and many other library classes, events, and resources.
A donation of:

- $5,000 supports a year of cultural celebrations in our community including Native American Month, Pride, and Dia de los Muertos to emphasize that the library is for everyone;
- $2,000 could buy supplies for six months of hands-on story times for children under five to improve literacy in our community;
- $1,500 could fund a year of author talks, to engage adult patrons with new literature;
- $500 helps buy supplies for a season of teen programs to draw teenagers to the library;
- $250 could support a middle school hangout, an after-school place for middle schoolers to learn social and emotional skills;
- $50 could make K-Pop club happen, a program to reach out to new young library patrons.
We are grateful to those supporters who attended Librarypalooza, bought books at our in-person book sales, or helped us in some other way. Your love of the Santa Clara City Library makes everything possible.
