Emma Kaliterna was recently honored at the Library for her years of service to Santa Clara. She is an inspiration to many, including an anonymous donor who funded the naming of the Yearbooks Case after Emma as well as an annual children’s author series.
We presented Emma with a scrapbook, a transcription of the oral history she dictated to Librarian Mary Hanel and a signed copy of one of Jennifer Fosberry’s books. Jennifer will be the inaugural author in the Emma Kaliterna Children’s Author Series on May 13.
