The Library is losing a dear friend and champion of literacy when Julie Passalacqua retires as Santa Clara City Librarian at the end of this month. In honor of Julie’s 38 years of service and her passion for children’s literacy, the Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends board is purchasing six sets of Julie’s Top Ten books to be put in Santa Clara City Libraries and the three shelters in Santa Clara that have revolving book bag libraries. Julie has read thousands and thousands of children’s books over the years, so you know a book has to be special to make it onto her top ten list! These books are:
Each book will have a special bookplate honoring Julie’s years of service. Come on by the Library and read some great children’s books!
