#GivingTuesday is on December 1st! We want you to donate money to the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends a week from Tuesday. Of course the money you give to the Friends & Foundation buys books and DVDs. But it also funds other wonderful things. In the days leading up to December 1st, we’re going to highlight a number of the other programs and items that your donations buy for the library.
The Northside Library has an active Speech & Debate program for teens. Marty De is a teacher with the Fremont Union High School System, and he comes in to conduct Speech & Debate classes. I could list all the reasons that this is a great program for high school students, but here’s Marty presenting why Speech & Debate is a good thing:
