From 1965 through the 1970s, the Friends of the Santa Clara Public Library and the Santa Clara Art Association (originally known as the “Mission City Artists”) collaborated to sponsor a Santa Clara Annual Art Show in the Central Library. All media were accepted: painting, sculpture, collage, drawing, and mosaic.

Three of these paintings have been rescued from a storage closet and been re-framed thanks to generous donations from Friends volunteers. See them now in the Gallery!
