Leaving something ahead

Andrew Carnegie photo for our post about leaving a legacy to your library

Andrew Carnegie – the man in the above photograph – was passionate about education, among other causes. He funded the building of more than 3000 libraries across the world, ensuring his legacy and that millions of people would have access to books and other educational materials for years to come.

Leaving money to a cause in your will isn’t about leaving something behind – it’s about leaving something ahead. Libraries wouldn’t be nearly so widespread without Carnegie’s gifts throughout his life and upon his death.

By adding the Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends, you can ensure that the Libraries in your community will continue to be able to educate and entertain the people in Silicon Valley for years to come. If you’re interested in adding the Foundation to your will or trust, please contact your estate lawyer.
