The Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends is sponsoring a series of seminars in which attendees receive one-on-one help with their resumes and career advice. What happens as a result of these sessions? After a receiving resume help from facilitator Anne Davenport, a participant landed a fabrication position in Morgan Hill and is enrolled in community college to get his CMA license. Another attendee had just arrived in the United States from Syria. Anne was the first person he spoke to in English and she helped guide him on his job search and educational opportunities. Keep your eyes open for additional seminars to be held in upcoming months.
