Each fall, for the past eighteen years, Read Santa Clara has partnered with the Rotary Club at Steps for Success events in elementary schools, allowing children from low-income families to get new shoes and great children’s books to take home. This year, 314 children received gift books at fun events at Scott Lane and Montague Schools. Kudos to Hilda for coordinating this successful event and thanks to Amber, Charity, the teens and the literacy volunteers who assisted!
