It was all about the red planet on Monday night at the Library. Author Pascal Lee spoke to a large audience about his book Mission:Mars during the second annual Emma Kaliterna Author Series. The series honors long time Santa Claran and library supporter, 96-year-old Emma Kaliterna.
Pascal spoke about what it will take to send a mission to Mars, how long they will stay, what they will need to survive there, and more. He said that scientists expect to launch the mission within the next 15 to 20 years. Several of the younger audience members raised their hands, volunteering to go on the mission. Emma said she’ll stay on Earth. 🙂
