The Foundation & Friends is happy to support My First Book Club, a way for kindergarteners and first graders to improve their reading skills. From the library’s website:
Help your child grow as a reader! Join us for an interactive online book club featuring fun early reading and writing lessons for young readers. Lessons are research-based and led by a literacy specialist who teaches phonics, comprehension, and reading tips for parents to use at home. After the lesson, your child can create a fun craft based on the featured book using a special craft kit from the library!
The next class is tomorrow at 4pm – these sessions happen monthly, so keep an eye out for future classes as well.
