Support literacy with your legacy

Planned Giving: support literacy with your legacy. Put the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends in your will
You’re reading this post. That means you probably care about making sure education and literacy reach everyone in the community. You probably also know that education is unevenly distributed in Silicon Valley. Some people are very highly educated and others need a hand up.

That’s part of why we exist. We help fund Summer Reading, to stop the summertime slide in reading comprehension. Comic Con brings a different type of reading to people who might be reluctant readers. Read Santa Clara, among other things, helps foster a love of literacy in families.

None of this is work that is going to go away. Summer vacation will always be there. Not everyone is a natural reader. But literacy is always important. It will be now, it will be in ten years.

This is why planned giving can be so important. The Foundation & Friends needs to be around in ten years to continue to support literacy and learning via the Santa Clara City Library. And you planning to donate to us in your estate plan ensures that you will be able to help us support those needs in ten or twenty or fifty years.

If you’re interested in adding The Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends to your will or trust, please contact your estate attorney.
