The Foundation and Friends supports all kinds of important extras at the Santa Clara City Library, things like the Summer Reading concerts!
These are important events that draw people to to the library during the summer months. When more people come to the library, more people sign up for summer reading. When more people sign up for summer reading, fewer students experience the summer slide – a decline in literacy skills while they’re out of school. These concerts are vital for improving literacy in Santa Clara and Silicon Valley.
