Did you know? Children who read at least 6 books over the summer maintain or improve their reading skills.
Plus, the library’s patrons enjoy Summer Reading! We asked last year’s participants why they join. “Because it is awesome sauce!” said one, echoing many people’s enjoyment of the program.
This is a program that wouldn’t exist without support from our donors. The Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends provides the prizes for Summer Reading finishers. We support concerts and programs that bring people into the library over the summer.
